Exclude amount on BIN/location from purchase orders/requisition worksheet

Hello,

Is there any possibility to exclude any inventory on a certain location from counting as 'regular stock'?
We have two BIN's where rejected stock is registered but we don't want to count this stock as good stock (which is the case at the moment)

Our purchase orders are created automatically and because of this problem some materials will be ordered with the incorrect amount (because rejected stock is counted as 'good/regular' stock)

Thanks in advance,

Jeffrey

We usually setup a Quarantine "Location", which is not a Bin.  This keeps the returned/broken inventory separate from the usable inventory.  You can leave the Warehouse requirements fairly simple as hopefully it isn't getting used as much as regular inventory.  Moving Items between the non-usable and usable inventory Locations can be handled by a Reclassification Journal or a full Transfer Order, depending on other requirements.

it depends on your location setup for this challenge. If you keep such items on a directed location, you could set up a QC zone and bins which do not allow receive, putaway, pick or ship from it, so user won't be able to consume from those bins.

but if you use simple locations, you could create a conceptual location like QC location and let user know don't consume from this location. When counting inventory, you could exclude this location as well.

Thanks for the answers. We are still looking into the best possible option for our configuration.

I'll mark one of the answers as the solution when we have a solution for this problem.
