Full IP range of D365 Online

Hi all,

I have a customer who is using D365 and we are currently setting up the Server Side Sync with their on premise exchange (Hybrid situation).

Since this requires them to expose their EWS to the internet, they would like to have a whitelist of microsoft IP ranges.
I gave them this link:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2728473/microsoft-dynamics-crm-online-ip-address-ranges

But after testing, they saw the requests came from another ip:

23.96.0.0/14

Microsoft Corporation

Is there an updated IP list I'm missing?

Best regards,

Tim

    Hi,

Actually if you want to find every class holded by Microsoft... good luck in that :)

https://ipinfo.io/AS8075 - here's info about Microsoft Corporation AS - all it's classes, that are not hidden :)

Well I'm hoping to find just the range that would be used by D365 :)

Maybe i will create a support request for it as it doesn't seem very obvious to find :)

We had similar problem. We expose our internal API and call it from our custom plugins and activities. As additional security measure it was decided to whitelist Dynamics 365 cloud addresses.

Unfortunately there is no such document that states from which IP addresses custom plugins and activities will go to the Internet.

After some investigation that these IP addresses matches addresses in Microsoft Azure Datacenter IP Ranges (www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx).

Our CRM is in North America region and all IPs I've seen were from usnorth Azure datacenter region.

But this isn't bulletproof solution. It isn't documented anywhere. MS may eventually change their infrastructure without any notification.

Bottom line is that whitelisting IPs technique seems to be unviable in modern clouds world.

It is documented at support.microsoft.com/.../microsoft-dynamics-crm-online-ip-address-ranges but you need to click into the hidden (on pageload) details section of www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx to discover that the list changes weekly (although they do tell you in advance about new IP ranges)..
