According to the software requirements of CRM 2011 Email Rounter (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh699689%28v=crm.5%29.aspx), it should now work on Server 2012. I have followed all the steps in the Installing on Windows Server 2012 section (more than once) and have not been able to install the email router. I have also manually downloaded the updates using the SHS (Self Healing Setup) method and still will not install.
The issue is that the install insists on installing the Microsoft Online Services Sign-In Assistant. It appears this assistant does not work on Server 2012. There appears to be no way past this in the Email Router installation.
Has anyone run into this? Has anyone been succesful at installing the CRM 2011 Email Router on Server 2012?
I've spent 2 days on trying to get CRM 2011 to work on Server 2012 and still do not have everything working. Despite the software reqiurements page stating that it works with Server 2012, my experience says that it does not work with Server 2012.

I have the same question (0)Hi Pat,
I see that you are asked to install "Microsoft Online Services Sign-In Assistant". Does this mean it gets stuck during installation for a long time with no action or fails with an error message. If its an error message an you mention the error.
TRY THIS
========
Please download a copy of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 RTM Email Router bits from the following location:
download.microsoft.com/.../CRM2011-Router-ENU-amd64.exe
Once the program is fully downloaded, extract it to a folder on the desktop, but do not actually launch the executable yet.
1. Disable Windows Updates. To do this, follow these steps:
a. Click start and in Run type in services.msc
b. Next, locate the Automatic Updates Service
c. Right-click it and then left-click Properties
d. Under Startup type from the drop-down menu, choose disable.
e. Click OK
f. Next, click on Stop to terminate the service.
2. After that, run the CRM Email Router Installation and choose the option to "No, I do not want to use Microsoft Updates" and continue on with the installation.
3. After following these steps, you should be able to successfully install the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Email Router
4. Make sure to turn on the Windows Update Service again and adjust your automatic update settings
