Hi, I am following this post to debug the custom workflow. do I have to wait until the workflow to finish? since my workflow seems stuck always showing "waiting event", then there is no log

    You can first change the workflow to OnDemand and then debug it.

    If it works then simply change it back to event driven.

    Yes, it is ondemand, but it still shows that. And profiled workflow always shows draft status?

    Draft? Have you activated the workflow?

    And also, my profiler doesn't show plugin profiles in extension, it should be there?

    how to debug custom workflow

    Hi, I got some trouble in debugging custom workflow. Basically, I can not see the error message, and can not attach this to VS. And the I am supposed to see the messages in the plugin profiles, but there is nothing, and my workflow status shows waiting. please see the screenshot, I am not sure what step I have missed.

    Have you tried using the tracer object in your code?  You'll have to turn Tracing on in your system settings under customization, then add the tracer object to your workflow code.

    ITracingService tracer = executionContext.GetExtension<ITracingService>();

    then you just execute a tracer.trace(string) to see what values are coming back, or put it into a try/catch to show the error.

    tracer.Trace("{1} -- GetCaseSLA :: accountId :: {0}", accountId, DateTime.Now.ToString("hh.mm.ss.ffffff"));

    Can you share screenshot of what exactly your plugin tool is looking like?

    Also go to CRM and check if plugin profiler solution is imported or not.
