Why System Administrator Security Role can override update of Deactivated records backend?

Hi!

I'm trying to associate a deactivated record in a subgrid (1:N relationship) but for some reason if I am assigned System Administrator, I don't encounter any errors and it allows me to add the record in subgrid and deactivated record's lookup field was also updated.

I know by design this shouldn't happening. If I am not the Sys Admin I can encounter the error "The object cannot be updated because it is read-only" which I know should be expected.

    Hi

You error may not be related to permissions, please refer to the link below
