D365 Custom Engagement Plan and Power Apps / Power Automate P2 transit to new license model

Currently we have the D365 Custom Engagement Plan (next renewal date Feb 2021) and Microsoft Power Apps Plan 2 (Qualified Offer) with next renewal date Jan 2021.

According to Microsoft's Message

"Customers who have acquired these multi-application (Plan) licenses via the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program or directly via Web will no longer be able to auto-renew on the Plan license if their renewal date is after Dec 31, 2020 (extended from Jun 30, 2020). These customers will need to transition to the new packaging model, i.e. from multi-application (Plan) licenses to individual application licenses, prior to Dec 31, 2020 to continue using Dynamics 365."

"Power Apps P1 and P2, and Power Automate (previously Microsoft Flow) P1 and P2 plans will no longer be available for purchase, including via auto-renewal, after December 31, 2020 (extended from April 30, 2020). Customers with these plan licenses that have renewals falling on or after January 1, 2021 will need to transition to the Power Apps per user or per app plans, or the Power Automate per user or per flow plans to continue using the Power Platform services. "

I know exact which apps license we want to go for. the question is - how do I create the transition plan? Just wonder is it as simply of me purchase the new licenses in the new year? but the message clearly saying it need to be done prior to Dec 31 2020. So what happens to existing license that was already paid?

Just wonder if anyone already done it? Any tips will be highly appreciated.

    Hey Xun.

The plan for this has to be done from your side. But basically it should include:

    - Purchasing the new licenses.

    - Assigning the new licenses.

    - Specially on the PowerApps side: test that app access is still working as expected.

    - For licenses already paid, and once your testing is over, you could request cancellation of the "old" licenses. This includes the refund for the unused months.
