I am configuring Mobile Offline for a model‑driven app and I am facing a confusing issue regarding accessibility of the app.
Observed behavior:
- When a user has the System Administrator security role, the model‑driven app works offline without any issues.
- When the same user does not have the System Administrator role (only custom business roles), offline functionality is not available. I got a message that server was noch available.
What I have already verified:
- Mobile Offline is enabled in the app settings.
- A Mobile Offline Profile exists and is selected in the app.
- The profile contains all required tables, filters, and relationships.
- Business tables have correct security privileges (Read / Create / Write / Append / Append To).
- I added myself as a user to the mobile-profile.
The model-driven app is assigned to the role accordingly.
Question:
What is the current best‑practice way to enable offline access for non‑admin users?
Any clarification would be highly appreciated, especially from someone who has set up Mobile Offline recently.
