Hi,

Can anyone know how to send generated report via email as an excel attachment from Business Central. We need similar solution as we subscribe SSRS reports in SQL reporting Services.

Please let me know if this can be done in BC if yes how, if there is any sample code will be helpful.

Thanks,

Amit Bansal.

    Hello,

We currently do not have dedicated Dev support via the Dynamics 365 Business Central forums, but I wanted to provide you some additional resources to assist.  If you need assistance with debugging or coding I would recommend discussing this on one of our communities.

    www.yammer.com/dynamicsnavdev

    dynamicsuser.net/.../developers

I will open this up to the community in case they have something to add.

    Thanks.

I have 2 solutions for you:

    first:

    check the following link:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/ui-how-send-documents-email

just need to customize and add excel type.

    second:

create a process report and do the following steps:

    1. filter the data

    2. call the main report and save it as Excel file on disk

    3. create an SMTP instance, set the emails, the body of the mail, and add the attachment from step 2. then send the email.

then create a job queue entry and run this report

create a codeunit for that, follow www.mynavblog.com/.../.

then create a new job queue entry, add that new codeunit, set the recurrancy.
