Unable to update the PurchLine.RemainPurchPhysical using DMF import

I’m facing an issue where the user should be able to update the PurchLine.RemainPurchPhysical and PurchLine.RemainInventPhysical fields through DMF using the PurchPurchaseOrderLine V2 entity.

 

We have already bypassed the field validation for both fields in the initializeEntityDataSource() method, but we are still unable to update the RemainPurchPhysical field on the purchase line during the DMF import.

    PurchPurchaseOrderLineV2Entity doesn't have any mapping for either RemainPurchPhysical or RemainInventPhysical. Do you mean that you're trying to add them by an extension?
     
    What have you found when you debugged your solution before asking here? For example, do you see the value in the staging table, in mapEnityToDataSource(), at the beginning of PurchLine.update()?

    Yes, you are right we have extended the field PurchPurchaseOrderLineV2Entity added those field in the extension,
    The values are updated on the staging table but not on the target table

    All right, you'll need to do more work on debugging; you can't fix the problem unless you find where it is. My previous reply already gave you a few things to check.
     
    By the way, make sure that does you test import contains only those two fields (plus the entity key).

    Hi,
    You can try the debugging steps Martin suggested and check where the update is getting blocked. 
    In parallel, I was just wondering about the business scenario behind updating RemainPurchPhysical and RemainInventPhysical through DMF. 
    Is this a specific business requirement to update them through the entity, or are you trying to correct some inconsistent/corrupted data?
