Kingswaysoft Dynamics CRM migration from on Premise to OL

Hi,

I am using this components to migrate data from an on premise organization to an online organization.

I have built a complete package in SSIS in order to perform what I need to do.

My destination connection manager is targeting a DEV organization and now it is finished, i whished to migrate data to a TEST organization in order to manage with user acceptance.

The problem is that when I change the organization within the connection manager, it does not persist and it come back by itself to the DEV organization. It happens when I save, leave visual studio and when I come back it's back to the DEV. When I change the organization, save and launch a SSIS task : same thing !

I would be happy if someone could point me to the cause of my issue.

Best regards,

Emmanuel Barache

Hi - this sounds like an SSIS issue rather than a Kingsway soft toolkit issue.

Do you have a configuration file or database set up for your SSIS package - if so then the connection would be reverted to the configuration settings.

    See msdn.microsoft.com/.../cc671625.aspx

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Emmanuel,

This really sounds like a bug in the connection manager. KingswaySoft usually charges a $180 per ticket, but according to their FAQ (www.kingswaysoft.com/.../faq), issues which are software defects will not be charged. I'd suggest you open a ticket with them since they may have a workaround already. Hope this helps, if so I would appreciate if you would mark this as the verified answer.

    Thanks,

     Aiden

    Hi Emmanuel,

Make sure to look into Scott's suggestion first - no need for you to open a ticket if it's something you can fix yourself.

    Thanks,

     Aiden

Please try below steps to parametrize your kingswaySoft connection manager.

    1. You should create parameters for orgName, username, password, discoveryUrl etc
    2. right click on connection manager-properties -expression.
    3. select properties(organizationiname, userName, password, Discoveryurl etc) used in the connection and assign the parameters/variables you have created in the first step.
