Hi,

I know I can export my queries from CRM 2011 but how can I import fetchxml.xml after modyfying it? I'm sure there's a way...

Thanks.

..Sampsa

    Hi sampsa,

After you have modified the fetchxml you can create reports with it.  CRM wil now run your modified fetch in an advanced find, but will run in a report.  Here's a blog we wrote on it:

Being able to use this in reports is fine, but how about re-importing FetchXML as a new view???? I would like to lookup contacts based on a FetchXML and then mass-edit them, instead of having to look them up one by one and make the same change over 400 times.

I second Justin: surely there's a way to import FetchXML as a view rather than a report?!?

I need the same functionality.  Did you figure out how to accomplish this via FetchXML?

    Hello,

There is not out of box way where you can import your Fetchxml directly, but you could try to build small utility where you can change UserQuery entity

    Check: msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg328472.aspx

    Thanks

    Hello.

    You could use mscrmtoolkit.codeplex.com

The Data Export Manager tool allows you to add your customized FetchXML and create a file with the data (it exports the data to a CSV or a XML file).
