Setting up a new online CE Organisation (+Dynamics Apps): getting an error for the Region chosen (error suggests EU as default)

Hi All

We have a new CE client who has an MS Tenant registered to the Nigerian Region. They have asked us to implement CE for them, with the data location/region set to South Africa.

Every time we try set this up using the MS wizard, we are given an error to say we must use EU as the default as the Apps are not available in South Africa.

Does anyone know why this is happening or what to do about it? We have implemented many other CE projects using South Africa as the region.

    hey.

    This type of scenario depends on many factors like When did your customer got their first licenses or if they have a parent company registered in EMEA region.  If their licenses were purchased before the South Africa Datacenters becoming fully available (2021 or 2022), then it will set the "default region" as EMEA instead of South Africa, for example.

    Microsoft has a procedure for this type of scenarios, as you can read on learn.microsoft.com/.../geo-to-geo-migrations.  You should open a support request in PowerPlatform Admin center requesting an update on your Dynamics tenant to make it available in South Africa.  However, you should also be aware that  Not all features might be supported in South Africa
