Is there a way to edit what options are available in the Activity Status area in the Task entity?

So far there are only "Open" and "Completed" I would like if possible to add more options to select from

You cannot add values to the 'Activity Status' field on Task. Have you looked at the "Status Reason" field which has additional options that you can use when the task is Open? It is not on the form by default but you can add it

Generally In CRM you cannot modify status field, but you can edit status reason.

If you are taking about Activity Entity, then for this entity you cannot edit Status and Status reason.

But if you want to add more status reasons for activities like phone, email, task etc, then you can modify status reason attribute and you can able modify status reason.

dear bbeases,

you can create your own custom status field and using custom code or workflow to update main status field according to changing value of your custom field.
