Assign 1 contact to Multiple D365 Users

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Is it possible to assign multiple users to one account? Please note that these users should not be able to see other users' transactions or activities to this account.

If yes, how to do this?

Thank you in advance.

You could also use sharing to share access to the account record to each individual user. Both sharing and ownership grant permissions, but one difference is that the shared records will not show in the 'My...' views (e.g. My Accounts). Note that, if you use sharing a lot (maybe 100 000s of records), then this can affect the overall CRM performance

    Hello Everyone,

    Thank you for your response.

I just want to clarify the scenario. The 4 users are not in the same team. This 4 users own and sell different brand of products or different products. This 4 users transact to this 1 account(for example, this is a reseller). This 4 users should not be able to see the transactions, activities, and communication of the other users to this 1 account.

    Is this possible?

    Thank you all

Access Teams does not allow ownership so its similar like sharing contact records to multiple user you can proceed with this . If you want to change the ownership of particular contact then you can create team for all the user and assign to contact.

If you dont want to see others user transactions you should use access teams.

You can check above link shared by Ravi and in addition you can also check below reference to know more.

    Hi,

You cannot assign to multiple users but as suggested above, you can assign to a single team which contains multiple users. If the users are different for each account record then you can explore Access teams which works on the individual record.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi cmmm,

You can assign account ownership to a Team, and place the users inside the Team. Your transactions and activities should be separate entities.
