Once you have Auditing enabled, you can navigate to Settings > Auditing to view a log, but you can not export that into Excel or any other format. Also, you can not perform an Advanced Find against the Audit entity.

If you are on-prem, you could dive into the database to extract the data. There is a View called Audit which allows you to get the audit data, but you will have to get creative and join with a bunch of other tables to get some readable details. Look for the database schema to understand the relationships. It is located in the SDK/Schemas folder.

Another option could be to use this CodePlex project to extract the data to Excel

    Hello Helen,

In CRM through GUI you won't be able to export audit logs in Excel.

    This by design.

The MSCRM ToolKit worked until we were updated to Dynamics 365. Now it says Error: Metadata contains a reference that cannot be resolved.

Are there any other tools available that can export the Audit log?

Why would this be done on purpose?  The summary view is so limited as to be nearly useless.  I'm trying to find out who is making use of their licenses, and being able to dump an audit log for user logins would be useful.

You need to download new SDK's For Dynamics 365.

Yes 100% agree, as this seems to be the only way to audit for license justification. Did you manage to resolve this, as i find myself at the same quagmire.

How is loading SDKs going to help?  I looked at that link and saw nothing that looked like a solution to this issue?  Even if one of the SDKs has an API for accessing audit info, that still requires a custom program/script to perform what should have been in the GUI all along.

CRM user Interface does not provide any options to download audit report . So custom program is the only way to do so.
