Hi, I cant put 'Variant' into Custom Report Layout 1309. see below, no Variant option to insert. Has never been there but do now require it.
You have to create reportextension first and add the Variant Code field from Return Receipt Line table and then use in Layout.

Do I need to contact a developer for this?
yes
Yes, you need a developer for this. In the word layout you can only use data that is part of the reports dataset. If the data you need is missing in the dataset you ned to get a developer to add the data to the dataset. Once that is done they will be available in your word layout.
