Gigabit Ethernet Required for GP 2010 Client!!!

Has anyone else noticed that the client requirements for GP 2010 include gigabit Ethernet??? I can understand requiring this on the server but this seems like overkill for the client PC's. In our case, this may be a show stopper and force us to start looking for another solution. Our reseller is telling us that we would not be able to get GP support if our clients are not gigabit. I'm just curious how others are handling this and if anyone knows WHY Microsoft has made this a requirement. Thanks!

    Hi, usually MS is always on the safe side. Even GP10 is requiring 100MB or 1GB but as user you cannot tell the difference in speed.

    Personally I would say not a show stopper. Others may have their own thougths.

    I agree with Sunbeam. There's nothing special about GP in terms of the network speeds it needs. Of course, as with any ERP or networked product, a faster network means faster responses. But, we have plenty of customers that don't come up to the recommended spec. without issues.
