Dynamics GP report printing format issues with Xerox printer

Posted on by 1,195

Hi all,

In Dynamics GP, when i am trying to print Core GP reports to the Xerox printer, my report format is not correct. Overlapping of lines is occuring which i cannot read also. But i am able to print the customized and 3rd products (AA) reports successfully frmo GP on the same printer. Printer model is mentioned below. Can anyone help me on this.

Model name of printer: Xerox Work centre 7232 PCL6

I am selecting A4 format to print all reports.

Thanks & Regards,

Manjunath V

I would verify the use of a PCL5 or PCL6 driver as Jan suggests as well.

The other thing I would look into is possibly rebuilding the reports dictionary or at least trying a new local copy to see if this makes a difference as well.

I had the same problem with my new Xerox

Since the modified reports worked. I went in report writer and moved some core reports to the modified side, without actually modifying reports.

The problem is that I am not sure what the reports are named. I may just copy all the reports to the modified side.

I still wish there was a better solution.

You might try checking the printer driver.  Had a similar problem after upgrading from XP to Windows 7, was using driver for 4050 PCL6 even tho the printer is 4250 PCL6.  Setup new computer with 4250 driver and the reports were twice as long, switched back to the 4050 driver and corrected the issue.  Also make sure you are using PCL driver and not PS.
