Sales order does not create net requirement

Hi,

I have run into a problem while testing master plan. In a production environment I experience that sales order dosen't create a net requirement for the product.

In my test I create a sales order with quantity=1, on a product which I don't have in stock (on-hand inventory=0). I expected the 'Net requirment' to be updated for the product, but nothing happens.

We use a Min/Max master plan, but on the specific product we have 0 in both min and max. As far as I know, there are no parameters that decide whether there should be a requirement or not, this should be calculated either way.

Have any of you experienced the same? If yes, what did you do to fix this?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Mats,

Did you get any error messages for that?

    Hello,

Just after the sales order is created the related information should be added to InventSumLogTTS table from where is being read by Net requirements form if that is opened before any planning has been run.

When Net requirements form is opened, it reads the record from InventSumLogTTS and converts it into a planning record (i.e. ReqTrans).

Then, if planning is run and the sales order line is being removed at that moment, then maybe plan is not considering inventory transactions (i.e. Include inventory transactions parameter on plan setup is set to No).

Other reason could be that the delivery date of the sales order is outside the coverage time fence. For sample, if coverage group has a time fence of 10 days and delivery date of the sales order is 11 days ahead, then sales order will not be visible in the Net requirements form.

    I hope this will help.

    Gabriel

Is the order type Sales Order? Is the warehouse set to be considered in planning? Is the coverage group set correctly? So many possibilities :-)

    Hi,

No, there's just no post in the net requirement screen.

    Hi Mats

What about the other questions? It is your configuration, nothing more, the key will be for you to focus on the elements that could be causing it and rule them out.
