Dear all,
am facing the error while closing the Year. we have separate General Journal for the Year close,
am getting the error - sequence Name must have a value in No. Series Line: Series Code=YEARCLOSE, Line No.=30000. It cannot be zero or empty.
Check the number series YEARCLOSE lines (in this case line 3). There is something wrong with it as it is missing a value in a hidden field( Field Sequence Name (12, Code[40]))
Maybe this line was imported through configuration package or some other way. Easiest way would be to delete the line and re-create it again.
The Series Year close is also newly created and i deleted the lines. but the same error is coming.
While standing on that 3rd line - press Ctrl+Alt+F1 - to open the Page/Table inspect.
Check the field Sequence Name (12, Code[40])) - it will be emtpy.
You can check other lines, and it should have a value there.
Have You done any customization in this area? If not - it's hard to tell - might be some specific version glitch or something else... experiment and see if You can get that value to be filled in... try to fill in the Last Number used .... really unusual situation with no direct solution.
No we didn't do any customization.
