Logging Phone Calls

Hi,

I would like to know if there is a way to associate a phone call with a client with out necessarily logging the conversation, i.e logging the fact that it was made and maybe adding comments to it.

    Hi,

    This is standard functionality within Microsoft Dynamics CRM.  A phone call is basically just a type of Activity record that can be associated to many different entities, including accounts, contacts, leads, etc.  

    You can create the activity right from social pane in CRM and record notes about the call. CRM will automatically track the date / time of the call and it will be related to the entity you are in.

    Note:  The new CRM 2015 Update 1 mobile application will actually pop up this activity after you complete a call with the contact / lead automatically.  You can fill in the notes right on your phone (or utilize your voice recorder to translate) and save this quickly immediately after the call.

    HI,

    You can also log calls and emails automatically to your CMR with LiiD mobile application. And exactly the way you described; the call will be logged under the correct account/lead as an activity with details who called whom and the length of the call.
