Displaying Open Opportunities and Leads in Account System View (CRM 2011)

Hello,

I was wondering how I could get the number of open opportunities and open leads related to an account, and display this information in a custom system view. From the research I've done, I know that I can use Fetch xml to count the opportunities and leads, but I am not quite sure how I could get this information to be displayed in an Accounts system view. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I actually just need to display the number of opportunities and leads which I assume I can get from the calculated fields on Account. Thanks!

If You have sub grid on account of Lead /opportunities . You can see count at bottam of sun grid(if there is more than 1 page/next ). But you can not display this information on system view.
If you want to display count on view, you need to create count (whole number type) and you can increment this value based on status of lead/opportunities  with help of  workflow/ business rule.

If you just need a a count of records, use a calculated field on the Account.  One for Opportunities on the account and one for Leads on the account.

If you need to see a list of opportunities and leads on the Accounts system view, that's not possible out of the box.  You'd have to build a custom view control, or compromise by making a dashboard with a list of Leads on one half and Opportunities on the other.
