Document Types in NAV

Hi, new user to NAV.  Is there someplace that I can go in the system that will define what the document types stand for?  

Currently I'm noticing Document types like IP, OVR, ITEM, etc.  

I'd like to understand what the abbreviations stand for and what actions create them.

    Document types are usually used in journals and in sales and purchase orders.

    And in the standard applications they are not abbreviated.

    Where in the system are you looking ? Could it be in a customization?

    Hi, You can define Source Code in NAV, but Document Type is Option Type. If you want to modify it, you need to customize it, which is not recommended.
