Missing credit card transaction

Hello,

We have a customer who is complaining of a missing Visa card transaction. After researching, the transaction was made and shows in the journal. When the batch was settled, it never went to the payment processor and does not appear in the credit card total and EDC report. Is there any way in which we can retrieve this transaction?
