Serial Numbers

We are trying to receive a PO to the warehouse.  There are serialized items on the PO, the manuf. sent us the serial numbers, but were not scanned and received.  So, we have to receive them manually.

The question is, is there a way to upload the serial numbers from a spreadsheet, instead of keying in 80 serial numbers?

If the serial numbers are sequential, you can 'auto-generate' them

How do they auto generate if I have a list of them from the manufacturer?

    RE: Serial Numbers

On the Purchasing serial number entry screen, you could enter the quantity to generate - enter the starting serial number  (ie 20) and enter a serial number mask (ie 0000001)  then click on 'auto-generate'.  All the serial numbers will then be created

It looks like I cannot choose alphanumeric value... I can either choose Numeric or Alpha...

Are your serial numbers always in the same format?  ie AAA123BBB456?  You could make segments out of the serial number and then do the auto-generate....

The format could be the same, but they are not in sequential order.  One could be 8567432RVM, the second would be 856892432BB

    Hi,

It sounds like you just need to use integration manager to import these transactions. If you do not own IM, you can use the Mail-Merge technique to create a Macro that will do the transaction for you.

    Kind regards,
