Copy Pasting is taking So long in Business Central 19.5 On prem

Hello experts,

We have one client who is copy pasting data from Excel to Purchase Journal , 180 lines is taking approx 4 hours in copy pasting, we have also checked the system configuration but it seems fine.

Please help as this is creating so much issue.

Hi,

you can use Configuration Package instead to insert bulk data into Purchase Journal.

There is a Table 81 is behind you can use this table while designing config. package.

This looks like a security settings issue other than performance.
Will copying directly on the server have this problem?

Thanks for the reply but while using config package the gst and tds are not auto calculated so than we have a problem that's why we opted for copy pasting.

Yes we have the same code in UAT too but that is performing just fine, but prod is taking so much time could you please tell us more about security settings how we can find it?

We have tried removing all the customization but still it was the same. No other parts like sales journal is working fine like for 100 lines it is taking approx. 30 seconds.

It looks like there is still some customization in place. What happens if you only add the mandatory fields that are included out of the box via Excel?
