Why are there two fields for the Tax Id number and Tax Registration number?

In the US that is the same number isn't it?

Thanks,

Lynne

    That makes sense.

I figured it had something to do with different countries.

    Thank you very much.

    Hi Lynne!

The Tax ID Number is Vendors if you're required by the US IRS to send a 1099 Statement.

The Tax Registration number is most useful for companies tracking Goods and Services Taxes (GST) or Value-Added Taxes (VAT).

Please let me know if you have any additional questions!
