you are receiving this message because SP_DBOPTION is retired and was taken out of SQL 2012.
Suggest you either update to CU5 or don't use 2012. All my RMS customers are currently on 2008R2 with no plans to update.
That error message you got, you did not install SP or FP properly or didn't get installed on your PC. I have tested without installing SP or FP and I got that error message. After I install all SP and FP, it works!
My version is 2.0.2002 (SP4, FP1,2 and CU5+CU5 Hotfix)
Jeff, thank you for your response. That is the way I expect to work with. This is a test of sql 2012 with Rms 2.0. MS advice me to buy sql 2012 then downgrade to sql 2008r2 if not compatible, and I did that.
Thanks again for suggestion,
Hai Lam
At this time, we are not recommending installing SQL2012 for RMS. Go back to 2008 R2.
Also, there is no need to install all of the SP and FP. FWIW, we install SQL2k8R2 and the latest BC and set it up.
Then install the base RMS SO/HQ package, then 2.0.0155 FP1, 2.0.0155 SP4. 2.0.100 FP2 and the latest hotfix 2.0.1006
