BC Wave 2 (version 15) W1 showing LCY as $

Hi,

We have upgraded a customer to BC Wave 2 (W1) on premises and the LCY code after all the fields has changed to $ as well as the word VAT has changed to TAX (e.g. in the VAT Posting Setup, etc.). Here is the version:

It does seem strange the the application is still on 14.

Is there something wrong with the download (could they have packaged the NA version in the W1 download?), or is Microsoft changed something that needs configuring for $ to revert back to LCY and TAX to VAT?

This is very strange, any help would be appreciated.

Doug

Go to My Settings and check if your region and language setting is correct. The language determines whether it is TAX or VAT or GST.

    Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately this didn't change anything:

Have you also checked the General Ledger Settings for "Local Currency Symbol". That should help with the $ issue.

On the language, does it give you the same captions if you were to use a UK English instead of South African English.

Yes, the general ledger setup settings are correct

I get the same results if either UK English or South African English are selected

I have the exact same issue.

General Ledger setup is correct, My settings has the correct region and language but it is also displaying the $ sign.

Did you manage to resolve the issue and if so, do you mind sharing the solution.

    Hi

I don't know if you got a solution for this problem. I had this same issue, My Regional and Language settings were correct, also my General Ledger Settings for "Local Currency Symbol" was correct.  I inspected the Table objects with these and I saw that the Captions of the fields had this $ sign e.g Balance ($).

My solution, I had to export all the concerned tables to a txt file, replaced the $ signs with the LCY sign and I was good.  I had to do this to save my time since I could not get it work after trying all the suggestions. If there is any better solution, Please share with me. For now this solution worked for me.
