Sales Analysis by location

ReportReport

Hi Experts,
How can I generate a sales analysis by location (columns) for particular service items? I set up the analysis lines and columns, but when I executed the report, it showed the overall total for all locations. I need the totals for each location in separate columns.

Hi, I simply tested it and it seems there is no problem. Hopefully the information below can give you some tips.

    Thanks.

The items that I want to see on the report are specific service items defined in Sales Analysis lines, I do not want to see the entire item listing, The 25 items are not all in a specific range, or  item # sequence

    Hello Peter,

It seems like you are using 'Sales Analysis Reports'.
You should use 'Sales Analysis Views' as shown by YUN ZHU.

You can use the 'Item Filter' to filter to the 25 items you want to view.
Simply select them individually with control + click action and the system will filter them accordingly.

I will suggest you to read https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/ui-enter-criteria-filters, you can do filtering without the item being in a specific range or item # sequence.

    Hi Experts.

When I try to filter the service items I am the following error

The length of the string is 327, but it must be less than or equal to 250 characters.

    Hello,

The 'Item Filter' field can only hold a maximum of 250 characters.
We will need to get around it.

    1. Export the data without filter and delete the unnecessary records.

    2. Finetuning the 'Item No.' to easily filter them. For example, add keywords at the front or back and utilise wildcard filters such as A* or *A.

    3. Create new dimensions for these items and use the dimension filter on Analysis View. However, historical records will not be retrievable.
