Sales Prices affecting the Sales Order

Hello,

I have special prices setup by item no. and min case qty. However, sales order lines are based by item line not total case ordered.
For example:
Prices are 40-759 cases- 37.30 per case    760-1559 cases- 35.05 per case   1560 and up -cases 31.05 per case
If a customer orders total of 1560 cases = 780 cases Cherry  and 780 Orange the price will be $35.05 but the sales order cases total is 1560 cases each line should price out at $31.05

Hi, just to add some info.

It is better to take into account new price calculations feature if you are doing price-related development now.

    Best Price Calculations

    Hope this will also help.

    Thanks.

    Hi

As Kim mentioned this was a customization. You need to work with your partner to decide about best approach.

Also, you can contact the app developer such below and see if they can add what you need to their app. Then you can use their app

    appsource.microsoft.com/.../PUBID.simplyd|AID.sd-inip|PAPPID.8cc9ec56-2a3b-4bb0-8899-7de384145be1

In addition, you can submit your idea here and if it gets enough vote Microsoft can add it to BC

Have a customization programmed. That is what MahGah did and it makes sense that the check should be at the time of 'release' so you have the total cases from all of the lines.

What happens if you cannot ship all cases that were ordered, does the customer get the lower price? If so, the above customization should work for you.

Ask your partner to quote such a change.

So what workarounds have you implemented? Does the sales order person just monitor when a sales order initiates the next pricing level?

MahGah is correct. The functionality to combine items for total quantity is not a feature of BC.

I've not seen an app to accomplish your requirement. It would be a nice feature, suggest as an idea.

    Hi

We had the exact same challenge (but in PO side) we could not find any out of the box solution for it and we ended up with customization.  I hope someone tell us that out of box solution is possible.

We even tried to use "Variant" but the logic is "Line Base" and not "SO Base".

What was our customization? At the time of "Release" our customization check for the defined logic (like what you have described) and then update the lines price.
