Workflow to send automated email on specific transaction date

Hi,

I want to create a workflow that will send an email on a specific transaction date. Currently, I use advanced find to create a marketing list of customers who have completed a transaction exactly 365 days ago. I then send them a 'happy birthday' email. I want to automate this process.

Is this possible? Can I create a workflow that will check if the transaction date is 365 days old and, if so, send an email?

    However, wait conditions are bad for performances. If that's a concern, use a scheduled batch job. This article should explain why: crmtipoftheday.com/.../dont-use-wait-conditions

    Hi

    You could create a Flow that triggers on a daily basis and queries CRM and checks if there is any record with transaction date is older than 365 days. If the condition is satisfied you could send an email and also update the record to say the 365 days email has been sent. You might have to set the email sent date as well so that you could check the value in the field to make it work for every year.
