    Hi CRM Developer,

you can use the plugin registration tool found in the SDK for the CRM version you currently have.

run the tool on any client/server and connect up to the organisation with the plugin you want to disable, you can connect via the discovery service URL found in

Settings > Customization > Developer Resources

you will need to authenticate as a user with the permissions required to disable plugins.

when you have connected you can click the plugin in the hierarchy and disable each of its steps.

    Hope this helps

    Hi,

There are two options, you can use Plugin Registration Tool and also can use Settings --> Customization --> Customize the System as well.

For Plugin Registration Tool, can refer to this image:

    http://www.dynamicscrmpros.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Plugin-registration-Tool.png

Select the plugin assembly, expand to get the Steps.

You just have to disable Plugin Step only, no need to remove the the plugin, just in case you need this later in the future.

You can disable the plugin steps using the standard web user interface by navigating to Settings->Customizations->Customize the System->SDK Message Processing Steps->Select the step(In the List)->Deactivate (On Toolbar)

    Hope this helps,

    Ooh ya,

This is the step if you use the CRM UI to disable the plugin step:

    1. Go to Settings --> Customization --> Customize the System

    2. In the left navigation you can see 'Plug-in Assemblies' and 'SDK Message Processing Steps'

    3. Go to SDK Message Processing Steps

    4. Then, you can select the plugin step you want to disable

    5. Just click the Deactivate ribbon and next to process

    6. You can see the status of the steps now

    7. Here is the status:

    Hope it helps!

    Thanks

    Hello,

If this plugin is really obsolete, I recommend to remove it because it is safer for application maintenance.
Otherwise, if it just a temporary desactivation, for example a feature that is plan to publish later, I would recommend to disable the step AND to comment the plugin code in Execute method.

You can remove a plugin with the Plugin Registration tool.
