Invoice as payment method from Shopify to BC

Hi,

I am trying to add Invoice as a paymentmethod both in Shopify and BC so I can send an PDF invoice to our customer from Business Central.

Shopify;

Business Central:

I think I have done it correctly, but the shopify order in BC and sales order in payment method field is empty?

Is this not possible or what am I doning wrong?

I cant see your screenshot but did you run the payment method mapping in the shop setup?

Hi,

The issue happens because Shopify’s “Invoice” is a manual payment method and doesn’t automatically map to Business Central.

To fix this:

Create a corresponding payment method in BC called Invoice.

In the Shopify integration setup, map Shopify’s Invoice to the new BC Invoice method.

New orders from Shopify with Invoice will now populate correctly in BC.

You can then generate and send PDF invoices directly from BC.

The key is having a matching payment method in BC and proper mapping in the integration.

Hello,

As per the AI

Shopify does not send “Faktura” as the gateway value.

BC only fills the Payment Method when the gateway in the order payload matches your mapping.

Manual payments in Shopify usually send "manual", not the visible name.

So your mapping should match the actual gateway, not the text you see in Shopify.

Example fix:

Gateway Payment Method Code

manual FAKTURA

Once the gateway matches the real value Shopify sends, BC will populate the payment method.
