Dynamic Marketing List - how to exclude people that are sitting in another marketing list

Dear All

I am trying to create a dynamic marketing list and to exlcude certain contacts that are sitting in an other dynamic marketing list. But this seems not to be possible. Does anyone knows how to do that?

Hi - don't think it's possible with a dynamic list. The one way I found to do it was construct a new static list based on the existing one with all the existing contacts and then choose to manage the members - from there you can then remove existing members from the list based on the necessary criteria.

A bit more effort than it should be but there you go.

Hi Daira,

Since you are trying to reference an existing Dynamic List, you won't be able to exclude from them.

In a Dynamics List you define a criteria to bring in your Contact / Account / Leads, they do not sit on the List rather are calculated based on the criteria during run time.

Excluding can not be possible, due that the dynamics marketing list depends on a query and not on a static list of contacts, you will not be able to query the marketing list and then exclude, you will need to have static marketing list to be able to do this.

Hi!

1. Convert a dynamic list in a static list:

2. Create a empty Static Marketing List

3. Seletc this Mkt List

4. Copy the dynamic2static list created (this mkt list is locked).

In this way you can manage members in other list.
