Hi edev,
The December 2016 Update for Dynamics 365 cannot be uninstalled from the Microsoft Dynamics 365 server to roll back the program to the previous version. What is your reason for wanting to roll back Microsoft Dynamics 365 to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016?
Hi Adrian, Thanks for the reply. We are trying to install Microsoft portal for dynamics 365 onpremise version on a testing environment. This environment was upgraded to Microsoft dynamics 365 onpremise version from CRM 2016 long time back. We tried to install portal through power shell commands provided in the document support by Microsoft but the installation was failing for some reason. The production environment is still in CRM 2016 version. So we decided to revert back the testing environment to be onpar with production so that we can try to install the portal on the 2016 version.
As per the previous post, you cant rollback an upgrade. Instead, you can reinstall CRM 2016. You could copy the production organisation database(s) (using SQL backup/restore), and import it into your test environment after you've installed CRM 2016
Hi David, thanks got it.
