How to Report Sales by Business Units

(0) ShareShare

Hi,

We have multiple BUs with their own sales teams. BUs sales teams can sell products from any other BU but at the end of the day, we need to see the sales per BU in a single report where all the BU''s sales are shown.

How can we accomplish this?

Thanks in advance.

To do this you will need to implement a custom build report. You will be unable to do this within the report wizard. Contact your Microsoft CRM Partner if you got one and tell them your requirements. They should be able to build such a report for you.

It will require though that the user that runs the report, has access to see all Opportunities across Business Units.

I don't think you need a custom report for this.

If you create a report that shows all Won Opportunities by a given Business Unit (I.E. Where Owners -> Business Unit EQUALS XYZ), then you will get a list of all Won Opportunities closed by anyone within that Business Unit.

Make the "Actual Revenue" field "Total" and this will give you a total for all opportunities won by that business units.

Add some date ranges based on Actual Close Date to give it more accuracy and extra functionality.

    Good Luck!

    Gus,

what we want is a reports with ALL WON opportunities that shows them by BU, instead of having to run 1 report per each BU

    Pedro,

If you place a lookup to Business Unit on the Opportunity (Even if it's hidden) and a script that sets that value to the business unit of the owner, then you can create a report and add a grouping column that will split those won opportunities based on the Business Unit field that you recently added it.

    Does that make sense?
