Just escalated to MS issue and I have a confirmation of fix for this issue for Commercial North America client on January 6th. I recommend you escalate as I did and don't take no for an answer from MS. It worked for me instead of having client modify form.
Thanks,
Monica
This is an issue for me as well. Is there any way to just remove the Owner's status next to their name on the Header? We need to keep the Owner feld on the header and not in the body, as was suggested as a solution.
Has anyone heard if this bug is going to be fixed in North America as well?
Thanks.
I should stress that this was a temporary solution that was given by microsoft and should only be used on forms that are not heavily customised or part of solutions.
It's far from ideal, and should be fixed in "9.2 Train 22112(11.2)"
Unfortunately, I can't share the ticket as it contains confidential client information, however I've found the original message with more sensible wording that my original post. It is also archived as it's seen as a known error.
"After looking into our current internal work items, I can confirm that this bug is already identified and it’s meant to have its correction deployed on 9.2 Train 22112(11.2), which in your region it should be released on the weekend of 09/12/2022, as this is our current ETA."
The service pack information (train) may aid with your region.
Can anyone provide the ticket/incident number from MS to reference? This is also affecting one of my clients.
Thanks.

It's not off topic as I found the chat with Krystle's issue in, and I updated to let her know she is not alone.
There is also a chance that these issues could all be linked.
Due to the lack of X it is difficult to assign the record to a different owner.
I have had confirmation from Microsoft that the fix to the bug is earmarked to be rolled out on dec 12th in the UK, although this may differ across regions.
Hi
My setting here is also set to off, yet I still have this problem.
I want to remove the initials/online status and keep the (redacted) usernames, which was how it was before Wave 2 was released.
These user fields are normally used for record Owner, Created By, Modified By.
Any suggestions please.
Thanks

Hi there,
Our D365 CRM environments have been impacted by this change as well.
Users can no longer update the Owner field on a form if the owner field is located on the header. The "X" icon to delete the user from the field is missing.
The alternative solution would be to apply the Owner field on the body of the form which will widen the field to expose the "X" button to remove the user from the field.
[/quote]Hi Krystle,
Have you had any further success with the 'missing X' issue, other than using a field on a form?
It could be down to Dataverse search as I have one customer who has this issue and their sandbox/UAT isn't impacted as that environment doesn't have it turned on.
Thanks in advance if you have any advice - I'll update if I find anything.
Colin

Hi Partner,
Effective July 2019, Skype integration feature with customer engagement apps has been deprecated and is no longer supported after July 31, 2021
This deprecation includes presence indication in hover cards, lookup fields, and lookup columns in grids.
