Payment Reconciliation Journal Descriptions

Good morning,

We have been using Dynamics 365 in the SAAS environment for our bank reconciliations since April and have recently decided to use the payment reconciliation journal.

When we import the CSV file for the bank rec it pulls through the description without any problems but when we import the same CSV in the payment reconciliation journal it doesn't recognise any text.

Do you have any advice on how we can fix this?

Thank you,

Charlotte

    Hi Charlotte,

If possible can you show what exactly are you trying to do.

Is there any customization or Data Exchange Definition to achieve this importing?

    You can refer www.cloudfronts.com/.../

I can help you with this as I have worked on the Bank Reconciliation Journals.

If by chance your CSV gets imported and need help reconciling, you can check my blog.

    Hi Olister,

Thank you for getting back to me.

I am sure our implementation team did something on the Data Exchange Definition side of things and this is way out of my expertise so I don't want to start messing about.

They have quoted us half a day of work to resolve this issue, does that seem reasonable to you?

We have found a work around by exporting our journal to excel and copy pasting the description from the CSV file before importing it again.

    Kind regards,

    Charlotte

    Yes.

Half a day is pretty good.. Generally it takes a day or two to configure.

For now you can work with the work around.

Simply export the Journal to Excel and save as CSV file.
