Invent closing does not close old records

Maybe somebody has an idea how to solve this issue:

D365FO 10.0.33 (this issue existed also in older versions) On Premise

We have a huge number of inventtrans records, which do not have a close date. In the protokoll of the invent closing task we see that D365 complains about the average cost price and that this price cannot be correct.

Also for a lot of these items we have the situation, that we do not have stock for that item, but in the inventsum we have a negative value in /postedvalue/. This means D365 reports us a value for an item without quantity behind. Both issues seem to belong together.

Is there a way to force D365 to recalculate the old postings for these items in terms of recalculating the average cost price, to change it in the inventtrans postings (and the corresponding records) and then to close these records? We're using LIFO as calculation method.

Do you get an error message? If so, can you share a screenshot of the error?
