Sharepoint integration with CRM - permissions needed

I get an error message when I try to integrate CRM online with sharepoint online. I get asked to enter my organisations sharepoint url and then I get an error. I'm wondering whether I need Office 365 admin rights. I am a CRM administrator but have no other permissions in Office other than being a standard user.

You must be an Office 365 Global Administrator to enable server-based integration between Dynamics CRM Online and SharePoint Online.

Even if you are an Office 365 Global Administrator and enable server-based integration, you will still have a major security problem if you go only that far.
