Sharepoint integration with CRM - permissions needed

I get an error message when I try to integrate CRM online with sharepoint online. I get asked to enter my organisations sharepoint url and then I get an error. I'm wondering whether I need Office 365 admin rights. I am a CRM administrator but have no other permissions in Office other than being a standard user.

    Hi jsteelecrm,

    You must be an Office 365 Global Administrator to enable server-based integration between Dynamics CRM Online and SharePoint Online.

    Even if you are an Office 365 Global Administrator and enable server-based integration, you will still have a major security problem if you go only that far. Permissions will not sync from CRM and SharePoint.... everyone will be able to see everything inside the SharePoint libraries. for more details on this https://www.connecting-software.com/blog/microsoft-dynamics-365-privileges-sharepoint-permissions-replicator/
