Start Time cant be later than the actual arrival time

Hi,

I get the following error in the Field service App, whenever our technician is entering the Actual arrival time on a Scheduled work order and saving it.

"The Start time cant be later than the actual arrival time"

Is this the default functionality in Field Service? If so how do I change this.  Because in the real time, a work order can be scheduled to start at lets 10.00 AM and the technician might arrive at 9.30 AM.

Please help.

Thanks,

Krishna

    Hi Krishnam,

    I can replicate that!

It shouldn't be an issue though if using the App as you are modifying the Booking times which resets the times. For example once you set In-Progress it will set the Actual Start time. From memory it will then update Start time and End time based on duration of Workorder.

    Hi,

Start Time is set as the start of the booking. So when travel starts. Start Time doesn't mean the  start time of the work in progress.

So yes start time must become for actual arriving time, in this context.

But I agree that it is confusing.

As well that End Time is changed when booking is set completed at later or sooner time.

But Start Time is not automatically changed when Engineer starts to travel or set In progress at a different time. Nor is there is Actual Start Time field available.

Is this normal behavior? And why is that, as this doesn't show accurate time slots on the schedule board.

    Regards

    Wim
