Hi there,
Whenever I leave a note in my Notes section, the text is white/invisible and I can see it unless I highlight the text. What could be wrong?

Hi Brian, When did this begin to occur? Is this effecting all users or only 1? What version of IE are you using?
Hi Brian,
Would you happen to know if there are any JavaScript calling CSS that is defining the input element color as #FFFFFF?
Are any other inputs being blank also or just your Social Pane's Notes?
example:
.notesWall .notesTextBoxDiv .notesTextBox, .notesWall .notesTextBoxDiv .notesTitleBox { color:#FFFFFF }
Thanks,
Tim
I do not have any JS definining the input element color as [tag:FFFFFF]. However, when I inspect the notes the color of the text is set as #0000.
Example:
.notesWall .notesTextBoxDiv .notesTextBox,
.notesWall .notesTextBoxDiv .notesTitleBox
{
border: 0;
vertical-align:baseline;
line-height: 18px;
width: 100%;
height: 20px;
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
overflow: hidden;
font-size: 12px; /* _locID_css@font-size="notesWall_noteTextBoxDiv_FontSize" _locComment="Font Size" */
font-family: Segoe UI, Tahoma, Arial; /* _locID_css@font-family="notesWall_noteTextBoxDiv_FontFamily" _locComment="Font Family" */
font-weight: normal;
color: #0000;
}
I understand that the color attribute is setting the opacity of my black text to "invisible" but I have no idea how to change this back.
Has anyone solved this? I now have two users with the same issue. Both using firefox.
Hey Aaron, did this just happen for you? I have some users that are affected too and I noticed it occurred with the latest Firefox update.
I had this problem only start with the latest FireFox update 49.0.1.
The issue appears to be the style sheet color #0000; not being displayed correctly in Firefox. That's supposed to be black but it showed in the css debug as white for me. I edited \CRMWeb\_static\css\1033\notesv2.css.aspx and changed the changed the notesTextBoxDiv color to #000000; and that resolved the issue.
A couple of caveats though!
First, it's cached so you have to get your browser to look at the new version. I had problems with this in FireFox and had to change it to #0000FF; temporarily and open the CRM page with notes on it in Internet Explorer to verify that the new version was used and cached. I could tell because the instructions to enter notes was blue. Then I had to send out instructions to clear each user's FireFox browser cache.. What a pain. I also recycled the app pool but that didn't seem to work. I basically had a hard time getting FireFox to read the new values. I'll change it back to #000000 after I'm sure no one has invisible comment text any more.
Hi,
I have the same problem on CRM Online (2016 without update 1). This effecting 5 users, but not users with administrator security role. This problem occured on IE, FireFox and Chrome. Do you have any solution ? Should I open a Microsoft ticket ?
Thanks.
Regards,
Cyrielle
This worked for me.

Hi AaronP, what exactly worked for you? The one mentioned by William Faulk?
I've run into the same problem. Started with one user who reported problem in Safari, then we noticed it also in Firefox.
Displaying fonts in incorrect color ... I'm amazed things like this can still happen today in browsers, just wow, how is such problem even possible.
