How to give a user the requisite access to be able to create & modify flows in power automate

Hello D365 people,

we have a developer within our company, who is not pure IT, but is wanting to work on some flows to generate reports to be sent out via a mailbox.

My colleague has created the flow initially that pulls back the data from the specific dynamics instance, and that works fine, but the not IT dev was not able to save the flow, or make changes to it until we granted him system admin.

Admittedly this is only a sandbox, but it's not ideal - we tried System Customizer as well, but no joy.

Has anyone gone through this process previously, as to a way to create a custom role that allows this kind of work, without unbridled access to the entire environment?

I would think it must be a fairly common requirement.

Thankyou :-)

Dan

    Hi partner,

You can assign the security role of Process Advisor User to this user. Process Advisor users can create, share, and participate in processes.

    Hi partner,

Does it work? Or I can find another solution for you.

Thanks Leco Lv , we are hoping to try it in the next few days, and I will then come back to update with the outcome :-)
