    Hi,

You can try disabling the connection and change the URL.
I hope you have not synced any data yet, or else you need to manually delete or reverse it.

    I hope this helps.

You can’t edit or switch the Sales environment once Business Central is coupled. The only fix is to uncouple the integration and set it up again.

    Hello ,

If you accidentally coupled Prod Business Central to a DEV Dynamics 365 Sales environment, you cannot edit or change the Sales URL afterward — it’s locked by design once coupling is done. The only supported solution is to uncouple/disable the integration from Business Central (Actions → Uncouple), then rerun Assisted Setup and re-couple to the correct Sales (Prod) environment. There’s no Sales-side or partner-side shortcut to fix this, and no supported way to “just update the link,” so a full reset of the integration is required (ideally done off-hours if syncs were active).

    Hi,

If you accidentally linked your BC (Prod) environment to the wrong Dynamics 365 Sales / Dataverse (Dev) environment, you cannot just edit the URL or switch it in-place once the integration is enabled, that link is locked by design in BC. You’ll see the “linked environment” value in the Dataverse Connection Setup / Dynamics 365 Connection Setup page, but there’s no supported button to change it after the fact.

The only legitimate way to fix it is:

    1. Go to the Dataverse Connection Setup (or Dynamics 365 Connection Setup) page in the Prod BC environment.
    2. Turn off / disable the connection so it uncouples from the Dev Dataverse/Sales.
    3. Save/close the setup.
    4. Then rerun the Assisted Setup / Dataverse Connection Setup and enter the correct Production Sales environment URL and credentials you want to connect to. This creates a fresh managed link to the right environment.

If you’ve already synced data you might need to clean up manually, reversing or deleting couplings and potentially re-syncing cleanly after the link is remade.

So in short: you cannot edit/change the sales connection once linked; you must disable/uncouple and then set up the connection again to the correct Sales environment.
