Triangulation for Free?

Hi:

One of the four companies within the Business Central environment is a UK-based company.  The only other currency used in this environment besides GBP, of course, is USD.

Exchange rates through the European Central Bank are required.  But, that bank's base currency is the Euro -- not GBP.

So, in order to convert from USD to GBP, I imagine that some sort of triangulation is going to have to come into play.

Is there any way to allow for both this triangulation and the automatic updating of USD converted exchange rates to occur within Business Central for free?

    I think i would recommend you to find a bank in GB the publish the exchange rates for the GBP and pull the exchange rates from that source instead of using the ECB.

    Then you will avoid triangulation.

    I agree with Inge. It is easier to pull the direct exchange rate. You can use floatrate for this
