Hello Team, I have a doubt in CRM ,regarding accessing CRM outside of the domain people.

I mean,we have our organisation CRM site. If any user outside of our domain want to access our CRM site with their domain credentials, how can they access? is it possible?

Please clarify my doubt if anybody knows.

It is possible. Using ADFS and claims based authentication should help. Look at this page with videos. The first one is a overview that might help. community.dynamics.com/.../crm-2011-claims-and-ifd-implementation-video-series.aspx

you could also set up access through a VPN.

I think this is what you're talking about. It's Claims Based Authentication for Internal Access:

    Hi Nirosha,

While considering the claim based authentication ensure the trusts are set up correctly between the domains.

I think it requires two way trust between two domains. if not the other domain should be primary and trusting CRM server domain in your it may not

Actually, Claims based authentication doesn't require trust between domains, that's why AD FS issues a token

    Thanks for all your replies...

Everyone is saying about Claim based authentication and IDf confilguration.

How this will help in accessing crm of outside users?

Can anyone please explain me about these things (as i am new to CRM)?

Why IFD and Claim based authentication?

How we can figure IFD for CRM ?

I'd start with reviewing the videos on this page: community.dynamics.com/.../crm-2011-claims-and-ifd-implementation-video-series.aspx

This will show you what is required. You will need to install different services- so talk to your server admin about this also.  You may need their help.
