Tools->Setup->System->User please remember to be logged into GP as 'sa'
Kimberly,
Richard provided the right path to reset a GP user password... except that it doesn't need to be 'sa' that needs to do it..
It can be any user in GP that is part of a security role in GP that holds the Task-ID ADMIN_SYSTEM_001*, and is part on the SQL server side of the SQL security role SecurityAdmin..
I typically create a custom role for the IT Help Desk to assign users to allow them minimal interaction for user assistance in GP, so I don't get all those calls. GP out of the box offers only a role IT OPERATIONS MANAGER, which covers way too much setup options... not something you want to give to front-line Help Desk users.
Thank you both for your answers. I really like the idea of the custom role.
Kimberly
