Multiple Portals, does the user require multiple logins for two portals

Hello, 

If two portals have been installed, for example Customer Service and Project Portals, is the client required to have two separate login identities for both portals, or does one login cover both of them? Also if the client switches between the portals do they have to login again?  I have not been able to find documentation on this.

    Hi Mahone,

    Although I haven't tried this with the latest version, in previous versions one login will cover both.  I would be surprised if that has changed.

    However, they would be required to login again.  Login is handled via cookies, which are domain-specific - logging into one portal won't create the necessary cookie that would make them authenticated on the other portal.  That being said, if you use an external identity provider, they wouldn't need to enter their credentials multiple times - they'd just need to click the sign in button, which will redirect them to the sign in page (of the external identity provider), where they'll already be logged in and get quickly redirected back to the portal.
