new feature: Price List not required for opportunity/quote/order

Documentation (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/sales-enterprise/make-price-list-optional) tells how to turn off the requirement.  Does anyone know how this changes the functionality?

  • can I now set my own dynamic view on the OQOproduct lookup?
  • can I still get my price from a price list and limit privilege to override pricing?
  • etc
